Privacy policy

LUX Travel Consulting ("LUX," "I," "me") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information I collect, why I collect it, and who it's shared with.

Information I collect

• What you send me. When you fill out the trip inquiry form, email, call or text, I receive what you choose to share: your name, contact details, travel dates, destinations, who's traveling, budget range and preferences.
• Booking details. If you decide to book, suppliers require more: the legal names of everyone traveling, dates of birth, and sometimes passport details, loyalty numbers, accessibility needs or other information needed to complete the reservation.
• Payment information. Payments are made directly to the travel suppliers or through my host agency's booking systems. I never ask for card numbers by email or text, and I don't store them. If card details are taken by phone to complete a booking, they go straight into the supplier's system and any notes are destroyed afterward.
• Basic technical information. The company that hosts this site records standard request information, such as IP address and browser type, to deliver the site and keep it secure.

How I use it

• To answer your inquiry and plan, quote and book your trip.
• To communicate with you before, during and after travel.
• To keep records of your bookings and preferences for future trips.
• To send occasional travel offers, deals or updates, but only if you've asked to receive them. I don't add clients to a mailing list automatically, and every email has an unsubscribe link.

Who I share it with

I don't sell your information. I share it only as needed to plan and book your travel:

• InteleTravel, my host agency, whose booking systems and supplier relationships I use.
• Travel suppliers you're booked with, such as hotels, resorts, cruise lines, airlines, tour operators, transfer companies and insurance providers.
• Service providers that run the tools I use, such as the form service that delivers your inquiry and my email provider.
• When required by law, or to protect someone's safety.

Suppliers and my host agency handle your information under their own privacy policies. International trips may involve sending your details to suppliers or authorities in other countries.

Information about other travelers

If you give me details about other people in your party, please make sure they're okay with you sharing them. For anyone under 18, a parent or guardian should provide their information.

How long I keep it

I keep inquiry and booking records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet business and record-keeping requirements, generally up to seven years after your last trip. You can ask me to delete your information sooner.

Security

I take reasonable steps to protect your information, including password-protected accounts and limiting who can see your details. No method of transmitting information over the internet is completely secure, so please don't send passport numbers or payment details in a plain email or text.

Children

This site isn't directed to children, and I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13 except the traveler details a parent or guardian provides when booking a family trip.

Your choices

You can ask me what information I have about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it, subject to records I'm required to keep. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy laws, and I'll honor requests made under them. To make a request, email hello@luxtravelconsulting.com.

Changes

If this policy changes, I'll update the effective date above.
