About LUX Travel Consulting
LUX Travel Consulting ("LUX") is an independent travel business powered by InteleTravel, its host agency, and is based in Charlotte, North Carolina. LUX acts as an agent in arranging travel with third-party suppliers, and travel is sold and ticketed through InteleTravel. North Carolina does not have a seller-of-travel registration requirement. Some states, including California, Florida, Hawaii and Washington, do, and those registrations are held by the host agency.
This site is informational
The content here describes the planning services I offer. Destinations, options and descriptions are general information, not an offer or a guarantee of availability. Prices, promotions and availability change constantly and are only confirmed once a supplier issues a confirmation.
Quotes, bookings and supplier terms
- A trip is booked only when the supplier confirms it and any required deposit is paid.
- Every booking is subject to the terms and conditions of the supplier providing the travel, including their rules on deposits, payment deadlines, changes, cancellations, refunds and penalties. Please read them before you book.
- Supplier payment deadlines are firm. Missing one can cancel a reservation and forfeit money already paid.
- LUX does not charge a planning fee. Any fees charged by a supplier, such as change, cancellation or service fees, are the supplier's and are disclosed before you book.
Your responsibilities
- Give accurate information, including legal names exactly as they appear on the travel documents you'll use. Corrections after booking can carry supplier fees.
- Make sure you have valid passports, visas, permits and any required health documents, and that your passport meets each country's validity rules. Entry requirements are set by governments and can change. Check official sources such as travel.state.gov.
- Review all confirmations and documents I send you, and tell me right away if anything is wrong.
Travel insurance
I strongly recommend travel insurance. It's the main protection for cancellations, interruptions, medical emergencies and lost baggage. If you decline coverage, you accept the financial risk of those events.
Limits on responsibility
LUX arranges travel provided by independent suppliers and doesn't own or operate hotels, ships, aircraft, tours or transport. LUX isn't responsible for their acts, errors, omissions, cancellations, schedule changes, overbooking, strikes, weather, illness, government actions or other events beyond its control. To the fullest extent allowed by law, LUX's total responsibility for any claim relating to a booking is limited to the planning fees you paid to LUX for that booking, which at present is nothing, since LUX charges no planning fee.

The LUX name, logo and the text and images on this site belong to LUX Travel Consulting and may not be used without permission. Links to other sites are provided for convenience; LUX isn't responsible for their content.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to these terms or to services provided by LUX Travel Consulting will be brought in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina.
Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time. The effective date above shows the current version.
